There will be minimum of six chicks per order. You may select different breeds to meet the minimum order total of six chicks. These will be straight run chicks, meaning that they will NOT be sexed as either male or female.
The critically endangered White-faced Black Spanish is thought to be the oldest breed in the Mediterranean class of poultry and fowl. It seems certain that they date back to at least the Roman conquest of the Iberian Peninsula, but likely much earlier.
Chicks will be shipped by USPS 1-2 day Express Mail on Tuesday or Wednesday of each week. The chicks will be 24 hours or less old when shipped. Each box will include the UniHeat pad to keep the chicks warm and Grogel for a food/hydrations source, as well as coconut netting for flooring and fruit in each box, free of charge.
We will communicate with our customers at least one week in advance to give them a heads up on arrival times, confirming that shipment works for their schedule. If you have a preferred week of arrival, please add us a note at checkout and we will do our best to make your preferred week of arrival happen, but please don't hate on us if we can't.
White-faced Black Spanish Chicks
Typically orders for day old chicks can take 3-16 weeks, depending on the number of pending orders being processed.
We ship chicks USPS Priority Express 1-2 day delivery so please select this option at checkout. We will NOT ship your chicks if you do not select Express shipping. We ship chicks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays of each week during our hatching season.
All chicks will be sold healthy with no signs of illness. Please pick up your chicks promptly from the post office when they arrive. We guarantee live arrival of chicks (not including any extras we send out). If any chicks arrive deceased, please email us a picture of the chick with your order number to blackwitchchickens@gmail.com immediately upon discovery. We will refund or replace deceased chicks when are notified within two hours of pickup at Post Office. We will issue you a credit or apply the credit, which holds the same value of the deceased chick, to a future purchase.
We do not issue refunds or credits for shipping charges once the birds have been shipped.
